There was a time when garter belts for stockings were worn exclusively as a functional item. The stockings had no silicon strip and there was no other way to support them on a beautiful female leg. Decades have passed and modern stockings can be used on its own. However the fashion for the belts did not go away, moreover, it is growing in popularity year after year!
